A joint Renfrewshire, Inverclyde & East Renfrewshire social economy conference and trade fair was held on the 2 nd November 2007.

This event brought together procurement officers and social enterprises to further develop the social economy sector. Fifty people attended and nine enterprises contributed to the market place. Three social enterprises provided the catering. The report attached gives more details on the event including evaluation, presentations, notes from the workshops and a budget breakdown to support this first and final claim. Suggested actions arising from the event and will be passed on to those charged with developing the social economy.

This event was the first social enterprise event carried out across the three local authorities. It is hoped that future joint approaches will continue now social economy development is passed to local authorities. Key areas where attendees identified opportunities for change
